Leah Tuckman is a senior associate at the Great Schools Partnership and has been an educator for 20 years. Prior to joining GSP, Leah was the deputy principal at Revere High School, where she was awarded the 2021 Community Partner Award for her commitment to the health and wellbeing of Revere High School students and staff. Leah supported Revere High School in transitioning to a competency-based teaching and learning model, which centered student choice and voice. Prior to leading school improvement planning in Revere, Leah spent six years at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), where she supported identified districts throughout the Commonwealth in strategically accessing professional development and targeted assistance to improve instruction.

Leah was a high school and middle school math teacher, served as a mathematics department chair, and taught in charter and district settings in Boston Public Schools and the San Francisco Unified School District. Leah received her bachelor’s degree from Haverford College in Pennsylvania. She then received her master’s degree in education from Lesley University and a certificate of advanced graduate studies in urban education administration from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Leah also earned her Crosscultural, Language, and Academic Development Certificate and Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement and has worked extensively with multilingual learners throughout her career. Leah lives with her partner, her two children, and two rescue dogs in Medford, Massachusetts.
