Lauren Leigh Hinthorne
Director of Research and Evaluation
Lauren Leigh Hinthorne is director of research and evaluation for the Great Schools Partnership. Before joining the Partnership, she held research and organizational learning roles at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the US State Department, and the University of Queensland’s Center for Communication & Social Change. Lauren is particularly interested in community-led problem solving, change leadership and participatory visual methodology. She holds a PhD in political science from the University of York (UK), and has completed Georgetown University’s certificate program in organizational consulting and change leadership. Lauren has lived and worked in more than a dozen countries, including Australia, Kosovo, Madagascar and Papua New Guinea; she and her husband currently live in Portland, ME. She enjoys Tunisian crochet, making jam and tinkering with the plans for her future eco house.
